Kelly Allard

Welcome to Canvas & Paper! I’m Kelly Allard, a classically trained oil painter and art instructor. Originally from Dallas, Texas, I studied Communications Design at the University of North Texas and later trained in classical realism at Pantura Studios under Hans-Peter Szameit and Sanna Tomac, now co-owners of the Swedish Academy of Realist Art. Their mentorship grounded me in the time-honored methods that shape my work today. Since 2014, I’ve taught students of all ages—through summer camps, homeschool classes, workshops, and adult instruction—sharing the joy and discipline of realist art. My work has been shown locally in the Proctor Art Gallery, Ebb TIde Gallery, 2019 Studio Tour, and at the Gig Harbor Art Festival. I’m grateful to be part of the vibrant creative community here in Gig Harbor, where I live with my husband and our four daughters.
