Kelly Allard

Welcome to Canvas & Paper! My name is Kelly Allard, and I'm thrilled to share a bit about myself with you. Originally from Dallas, Texas, I have always had a passion for art and creativity. After completing my studies in Communications Design at the University of North Texas, I furthered my artistic journey by attending Pantura Studios in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It was there that I had the privilege of studying under the guidance of esteemed artists Hans-Peter Szameit and Sanna Tomac, who are now the co-owners of SARA, the Swedish Academy Of Realist Art. Under their tutelage, I delved deep into the world of classical Realism, honing my skills through time-tested methods that have been used to train the great artists of the past. Since 2014, I have been sharing my passion for art with others through various teaching endeavors. From leading engaging summer camps to homeschool art classes and instructing adults, I have had the opportunity to inspire and guide students of all ages on their artistic journeys. Locally, my work has been featured in the Proctor Art Gallery and showcased at the Gig Harbor Art Festival. It brings me great joy to see my creations resonate with others and to contribute to the vibrant artistic community here in Gig Harbor, WA, where I currently reside with my loving husband and our four wonderful daughters. Through my experiences and education, I have developed a deep appreciation for the power of art to connect, inspire, and transform. Whether through teaching, creating, or simply sharing my love for the craft, I am dedicated to nurturing creativity and fostering a lifelong passion for art in others.
